The crowd at Monday's league battle between the Mount Ayr Raiders (Mount Ayr, IA) and the visiting Southwest Valley (Corning, IA), saw Mount Ayr's baseball team beat Southwest Valley by a margin of 11-5.

The Raiders (14-4) will now prepare for their battle against Wayne (Corydon, IA). The Falcons enter the Pride of Iowa battle with a 6-9 record. In their last battle, Wayne was overwhelmed by Nodaway Valley (Greenfield, IA), 8-7, in a non-league battle.

Next, the face the Lenox Tigers (Lenox, IA) in a Pride of Iowa battle, on Tuesday, July 1. Southwest Valley will attempt to improve on its 9-8 season record. The Tigers enter the battle with a 15-7 record after their 13-2 league win over East Union (Afton, IA).
