The Valley Tigers baseball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting Waukee Warriors to 2 in the Tigers non-league win on Monday.
The Tigers now own a 19-12 record. They take the field next when they host Dowling Catholic for a non-league test on Tuesday, July 1. Valley will clash with a Maroons team coming off a 11-5 league loss to Ankeny (Ankeny, IA). The Maroons record now stands at 10-8.
With the defeat, Waukee drops to 22-9 on the year. The Warriors travel to Dallas Center-Grimes (Dallas Center, IA) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league test on Tuesday, July 1. The Mustangs go into the test with a record of 19-8. Dallas Center-Grimes won 8-2 in their recent non-league test against Van Meter (Van Meter, IA)
