The crowd at Monday's league bout between the East Marshall Mustangs (Le Grand, IA) and the host AGWSR Cougars (Ackley, IA), observed East Marshall's softball team prevail over AGWSR by a tally of 18-5.

The Mustangs (22-8) will now prepare for their bout against West Marshall (State Center, IA). The Trojans go into the non-league bout with a 18-9 record. In their last bout, West Marshall knocked off Nevada (Nevada, IA), 11-1, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Cougars clash with the Dike-New Hartford Wolverines (Dike, IA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, July 1. AGWSR will attempt to advance on its 8-21 season record. The Wolverines go into the bout with a 17-8 record after their 9-1 league win over Columbus (Waterloo, IA).
