The Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs overwhelmed the visiting Pella Dutch softball squad by a count of 8-0 in Monday's league challenge.
Next, the Mustangs meet the Southeast Polk Rams (Pleasant Hill, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, July 1. Dallas Center-Grimes will attempt to upgrade on its 25-3 season record. The Rams go into the challenge with a 22-9 record after their 6-0 league win over Johnston (Johnston, IA).
The Dutch (18-11) will now prepare for their challenge against North Polk (Alleman, IA). The Comets go into the non-league challenge with a 25-5 record. In their last challenge, North Polk toppled Winterset (Winterset, IA), 6-1, in a league challenge.
