The Harlan Cyclones overwhelmed the host Red Oak Tigers softball squad by a count of 19-6 in Monday's league challenge.

Next, the Cyclones meet the West Monona Spartans (Onawa, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, July 1. Harlan will attempt to upgrade on its 6-21 season record. The Spartans go into the challenge with a 22-6 record after their 4-2 league win over Kingsley-Pierson (Kingsley, IA).

The Tigers (3-23) will now prepare for their challenge against East Mills (Malvern, IA). The go into the non-league challenge with a 2-18 record. In their last challenge, East Mills was routed by Fremont-Mills (Tabor, IA), 14-5, in a league challenge.
