Iowa High School Softball - Newell-Fonda bounces Sioux Central

The Newell-Fonda Mustangs softball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Sioux Central Rebels to 0 in the Mustangs league win on Monday.
The Mustangs now sport a 19-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire for a Twin Lakes battle on Monday, June 30. Newell-Fonda will confront a Titans team coming off a 11-10 non-league win over Cherokee Washington (Cherokee, IA). The Titans record now stands at 12-9.
With the loss, Sioux Central moves to 15-8 on the season. The Rebels travel to Alta-Aurelia (Alta, IA) to confront the Warriors in a Twin Lakes battle on Monday, June 30. The Warriors come into the battle with a record of 4-14. Alta-Aurelia won 7-2 in their recent league battle against East Sac County (Lake View, IA)
