Davenport West Falcons (Davenport, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Jesup J-Hawks (Jesup, IA), 10-9 in a non-league challenge.

The Falcons now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fort Madison for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, June 8. Davenport West will face a Bloodhounds squad coming off a 11-1 non-league win over Washington (Washington, IA). The Bloodhounds record now stands at 6-3.

With the loss, Jesup falls to 9-6 on the campaign. The J-hawks host Grundy Center (Grundy Center, IA) to face the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, June 7. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 6-4.
