West Lyon Wildcats (Inwood, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Ridge View Raptors (Holstein, IA), 12-11 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sibley-Ocheyedan for a non-league challenge on Monday, June 6.

With the loss, Ridge View falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Raptors travel to Sheldon (Sheldon, IA) to battle the Orabs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, June 4. The Orabs enter the challenge with a record of 5-1. Sheldon won 4-2 in their recent non-league challenge against South O'Brien (Paullina, IA)
