In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Edgewood-Colesburg Vikings (Edgewood, IA) softball team held off the visiting Marquette Defenders (Bellevue, IA), by a margin of 2-1.
With the triumph, Edgewood-Colesburg moves its record to 9-3 on the year. The Vikings travel to Calamus-Wheatland (Wheatland, IA) to play the Warriors in a non-league contest on Thursday, June 6. The Warriors come into the contest with a record of 7-4.
