In Wednesday's non-league test, the Newman Catholic Knights (Mason City, IA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Forest City Indians (Forest City, IA), by a tally of 8-0.
Next, the Knights clash with the Northwood-Kensett Vikings (Northwood, IA) in a Top of Iowa-East test, on Friday, June 6. Newman Catholic will attempt to advance on its 5-0 season record. The Vikings go into the test with a 1-2 record after their 14-5 non-league loss to Riceville (Riceville, IA).
The Indians (3-2) will now prepare for their test against West Hancock (Britt, IA). The Eagles go into the Top of Iowa-West test with a 0-4 record. In their last test, West Hancock was routed by North Iowa (Buffalo Center, IA), 12-6, in a league test.
