The North Reading Hornets softball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School Hawks to 5 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, North Reading improves its record to 16-3 on the year. The Hornets travel to Apponequet Regional (Lakeville, MA) to clash with the Lakers in a non-league game on Saturday, June 8. The Lakers come into the game with a record of 20-4. Apponequet Regional won 6-0 in their recent non-league game against Gloucester (Gloucester, MA)
