The Mt. Vernon Mustangs softball team scored 10 runs and limited the host Marion Wolves to 5 in the Mustangs league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Mt. Vernon moves its record to 15-2 on the year. The Mustangs host Interstate 35 (Truro, IA) to clash with the Roadrunners in a non-league game on Friday, June 7. The Roadrunners come into the game with a record of 2-5. Interstate 35 lost 4-1 in their recent non-league game against Wayne (Corydon, IA)

In their next game, the Wolves clash with the Boone Toreadors (Boone, IA) in a non-league game, on Saturday, June 8. Marion will attempt to move on its 8-5 season record. The Toreadors come into the game with a 6-9 record after their 4-3 non-league loss to Bondurant-Farrar (Bondurant, IA).
