The crowd at Thursday's league battle between the Grundy Center Spartans (Grundy Center, IA) and the visiting East Marshall Mustangs (Le Grand, IA), saw Grundy Center's baseball team gain a win over East Marshall by a tally of 9-0.

The Spartans (9-0) will now prepare for their battle against Dike-New Hartford (Dike, IA). The Wolverines enter the non-league battle with a 7-0 record. In their last battle, Dike-New Hartford defeated Hudson (Hudson, IA), 13-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Mustangs face the Benton Bobcats (Van Horne, IA) in a non-league battle, on Friday, June 6. East Marshall will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Bobcats enter the battle with a 9-2 record after their 10-0 league win over Williamsburg (Williamsburg, IA).
