The Martensdale-St. Mary's Blue Devils baseball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting Southwest Valley to 1 in the Blue Devils league win on Thursday.

The Blue Devils now hold a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they host Wayne for a Pride of Iowa test on Friday, June 6. Martensdale-St. Mary's will play a Falcons team coming off a 16-3 league loss to East Union (Afton, IA). The Falcons record now stands at 0-4.

With the defeat, Southwest Valley drops to 2-3 on the year. The travel to Southeast Warren (Liberty Center, IA) to play the Warhawks in a Pride of Iowa test on Friday, June 6. The Warhawks go into the test with a record of 3-4. Southeast Warren lost 4-1 in their recent league test against Lenox (Lenox, IA)
