The Seymour Warriors baseball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Mormon Trail Saints to 3 in the Warriors non-league win on Thursday.
The Warriors now own a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Melcher-Dallas for a Bluegrass - East test on Tuesday, June 10. Seymour will clash with a Saints team coming off a 11-2 league loss to Twin Cedars (Bussey, IA). The Saints record now stands at 1-5.
With the defeat, Mormon Trail drops to 0-4 on the year. The Saints host East Union (Afton, IA) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league test on Monday, June 9. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 4-3.
