In Thursday's league bout, the South Winneshiek Warriors (Calmar, IA) baseball squad overwhelmed the host North Fayette Valley (West Union, IA), by a tally of 15-7.
Next up, the Warriors encounter the Edgewood-Colesburg Vikings (Edgewood, IA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, June 7. South Winneshiek will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record.
The (0-8) will now prepare for their bout against Starmont (Arlington, IA). The Stars enter the non-league bout with a 5-2 record. In their last bout, Starmont achieved victory over North Linn (Troy Mills, IA), 15-5, in a league bout.
