Next, the Westerners play the Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union Royals (Marcus, IA) in a War Eagle challenge, on Friday, June 6. Akron-Westfield will attempt to upgrade on its 4-0 season record. The Royals enter the challenge with a 6-0 record after their 8-0 non-league win over Central Lyon (Rock Rapids, IA).

The Jays (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn (Hartley, IA). The Hawks enter the War Eagle challenge with a 0-3 record. In their last challenge, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn was routed by Trinity Christian (Hull, IA), 14-8, in a league challenge.
