In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Kennedy Cougars softball team scored a tight 3-0 win over the Cedar Falls Tigers.
The Cougars (1-3) will now prepare for their match against Southeast Polk (Pleasant Hill, IA). The Rams come into the non-league match with a 4-4 record. In their last match, Southeast Polk nipped Ankeny (Ankeny, IA), 3-2, in a league match.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Prairie Hawks (Cedar Rapids, IA) in a Mississippi Valley - Mississippi match, on Tuesday, June 10. Cedar Falls will attempt to better on its 10-1 season record. The Hawks come into the match with a 5-0 record after their 17-1 non-league win over Assumption (Davenport, IA).
