The Eastside Spartans overwhelmed the visiting J.I. Burton Black Raiders softball squad by a count of 12-1 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Spartans meet the George Wythe Maroons (Wytheville, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, June 10. Eastside will attempt to upgrade on its 24-2 season record. The Maroons go into the challenge with a 9-14 record after their 4-2 non-league loss to Auburn (Riner, VA).
The Black Raiders (10-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Auburn (Riner, VA). The Eagles go into the non-league challenge with a 20-4 record. In their last challenge, Auburn toppled George Wythe (Wytheville, VA), 4-2, in a non-league challenge.
