In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Roosevelt Roughriders softball team scored a nice 9-0 win over the Marshalltown Bobcats.

The Roughriders (4-2) will now prepare for their match against Gilbert (Gilbert, IA). The Tigers come into the non-league match with a 4-3 record. In their last match, Gilbert notched a victory over Carroll (Carroll, IA), 14-0, in a league match.

In their next game, the Bobcats battle the Lincoln Railsplitters (Des Moines, IA) in a non-league match, on Monday, June 9. Marshalltown will attempt to better on its 2-7 season record. The Railsplitters come into the match with a 0-6 record after their 16-0 non-league loss to Indianola (Indianola, IA).
