Bald Eagle Area Bald Eagles (Wingate, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Southmoreland Scotties (Alverton, PA), 4-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Bald Eagles now own a 10-5 record. They take the field next when they host Deer Lakes for a non-league challenge on Thursday, June 9. Bald Eagle Area will face a Lancers squad coming off a 5-1 non-league win over Corry (Corry, PA). The Lancers record now stands at 16-8.

With the loss, Southmoreland falls to 4-3 on the campaign.
