North Scott Lancers (Eldridge, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Central DeWitt (DeWitt, IA), 16-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Lancers now own a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they host North Linn for a non-league challenge on Friday, June 7. North Scott will battle a Lynx squad coming off a 9-0 non-league win over Springville (Springville, IA). The Lynx record now stands at 14-3.

With the loss, Central DeWitt falls to 2-11 on the campaign. The host Alburnett (Alburnett, IA) to battle the Pirates in a non-league challenge on Saturday, June 8. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 16-1. Alburnett won 15-3 in their recent league challenge against Central City (Central City, IA)
