The Westerners now own a 6-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to MOC-Floyd Valley for a non-league test on Saturday, June 7. Akron-Westfield will clash with a Dutchmen team coming off a 10-0 league win over Sibley-Ocheyedan (Sibley, IA). The Dutchmen record now stands at 7-0.

With the defeat, Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union drops to 6-1 on the year. The Royals host Hinton (Hinton, IA) to clash with the Blackhawks in a War Eagle test on Monday, June 9. The Blackhawks go into the test with a record of 7-1. Hinton won 12-1 in their recent league test against Trinity Christian (Hull, IA)
