Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears (Algona, IA) fans left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting North Union Warriors (Armstrong, IA), 7-2 in a league match.

With the triumph, Bishop Garrigan advances its record to 5-3 on the season. The Golden Bears travel to Gehlen Catholic (Le Mars, IA) to battle the Jays in a non-league match on Saturday, June 7. The Jays come into the match with a record of 5-3. Gehlen Catholic lost 3-2 in their recent league match against Hinton (Hinton, IA)

The Warriors now have a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lake Mills for a Top of Iowa - West match on Monday, June 9.
