In Friday's league game, the host Chariton Chargers baseball team scored a nice 10-0 win over the Davis County Mustangs.
The Chargers (9-2) will now prepare for their game against Albia (Albia, IA). The Blue Demons go into the South Central game with a 4-6 record. In their last game, Albia was overwhelmed by Knoxville (Knoxville, IA), 8-7, in a league game.
Next, the Mustangs play the Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Rockets (Eddyville, IA) in a South Central game, on Monday, June 9. Davis County will attempt to improve on its 5-8 season record.
