In Friday's league test, the Columbus Wildcats (Columbus Junction, IA) softball squad overwhelmed the host Lone Tree Lions (Lone Tree, IA), by a count of 8-2.

Next, the Wildcats meet the Central Lee Hawks (Donnellson, IA) in a non-league test, on Monday, June 9. Columbus will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Hawks go into the test with a 8-2 record after their 6-4 non-league loss to Fort Madison (Fort Madison, IA).

The Lions (3-4) will now prepare for their test against Hillcrest Academy (Kalona, IA). The Ravens go into the SE IA Super - North test with a 1-4 record. In their last test, Hillcrest Academy was routed by H-L-V (Victor, IA), 13-5, in a non-league test.
