The crowd at Friday's league bout between the H-L-V Warriors (Victor, IA) and the host English Valleys Bears (North English, IA), observed H-L-V's softball team get by English Valleys by a tally of 9-8.

The Warriors (7-1) will now prepare for their bout against Baxter (Baxter, IA). The go into the non-league bout with a 1-5 record. In their last bout, Baxter was nipped by Lynnville-Sully (Sully, IA), 13-5, in a non-league bout.
