The Stanton Vikings softball team scored 9 runs and limited the host Essex Trojans to 7 in the Vikings league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Stanton improves its record to 1-6 on the year. The Vikings host Tri-Center (Neola, IA) to clash with the Trojans in a non-league game on Saturday, June 8. The Trojans come into the game with a record of 3-9. Tri-Center lost 7-6 in their recent non-league game against Logan-Magnolia (Logan, IA)

In their next game, the Trojans clash with the Fremont-Mills Knights (Tabor, IA) in a Corner game, on Monday, June 10. Essex will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record.
