The Denver Cyclones softball team scored 15 runs and held the host Nashua-Plainfield Huskies to 11 in the Cyclones non-league win on Saturday.

The Cyclones now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Columbus for a North Iowa Cedar - Central battle on Monday, June 9. Denver will confront a Sailors team coming off a 10-1 non-league loss to Waterloo West (Waterloo, IA). The Sailors record now stands at 1-7.

With the loss, Nashua-Plainfield moves to 1-8 on the season. The Huskies host North Butler (Greene, IA) to confront the Bearcats in a Top of Iowa-East battle on Monday, June 9. The Bearcats come into the battle with a record of 4-5. North Butler won 5-4 in their recent non-league battle against Riceville (Riceville, IA)
