The Van Meter Bulldogs (Van Meter, IA) softball routed the host Treynor Cardinals (Treynor, IA), 11-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Bulldogs (16-1) will now prepare for their bout against Pleasantville (Pleasantville, IA). The Trojans go into the West Central bout with a 9-4 record. In their last bout, Pleasantville notched a victory over Woodward-Granger (Woodward, IA), 9-5, in a non-league bout.
The Cardinals now possess a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Logan-Magnolia for a Western Iowa bout on Monday, June 10. Treynor will confront a Panthers squad coming off a 7-6 non-league win over Tri-Center (Neola, IA). The Panthers record now stands at 8-2.
