The Stanton Vikings crushed the visiting Essex Trojans baseball team by a count of 7-0 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Vikings now possess a 6-5 record. They take the field next when they host Tri-Center for a non-league bout on Saturday, June 10. Stanton will face a Trojans team coming off a 13-3 non-league win over Logan-Magnolia (Logan, IA). The Trojans record now stands at 5-4.
Next, the Trojans face the Fremont-Mills Knights (Tabor, IA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, June 12. Essex will attempt to move on its 0-6 season record. The Knights enter the bout with a 5-2 record after their 6-3 non-league win over Sidney (Sidney, IA).
