The MOC-Floyd Valley Dutchmen (Orange City, IA) softball nipped the host Okoboji Pioneers (Milford, IA), 3-2 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Dutchmen (3-2) will now prepare for their bout against Sioux Center (Sioux Center, IA). The Warriors go into the non-league bout with a 9-6 record. In their last bout, Sioux Center held off Ridge View (Holstein, IA), 7-4, in a non-league challenge.

With the loss, Okoboji falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Trinity Christian (Hull, IA) to face the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, June 10. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 3-4. Trinity Christian won 11-7 in their recent non-league challenge against West Sioux (Hawarden, IA)
