The Bobcats (13-3) will now prepare for their battle against Monticello (Monticello, IA). The Panthers enter the non-league battle with a 5-5 record. In their last battle, Monticello held off West Branch (West Branch, IA), 10-8, in a league battle.

Next, the Mustangs face the Wahlert Golden Eagles (Dubuque, IA) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, June 10. Independence will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Golden Eagles enter the battle with a 8-0 record after their 10-0 non-league win over Waterloo West (Waterloo, IA).
