The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Washington Demons (Washington, IA) and the host Fairfield Trojans (Fairfield, IA), observed Washington's softball team notch a victory over Fairfield by a tally of 15-6.

The Demons (8-4) will now prepare for their bout against Fort Madison (Fort Madison, IA). The Bloodhounds go into the Southeast bout with a 4-4 record.

In their next game, the Trojans battle the Centerville Big Reds/Redettes (Centerville, IA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, June 10. Fairfield will attempt to advance on its 6-4 season record. The Big Reds/Redettes go into the bout with a 7-5 record after their 3-0 league win over Cardinal (Eldon, IA).
