The George-Little Rock Mustangs baseball team scored 2 runs and held the visiting Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Hawks to 0 in the Mustangs league win on Monday.

The Mustangs now own a 4-12 record. They take the field next when they host Westwood for a non-league test on Saturday, July 6. George-Little Rock will play a Rebels team coming off a 11-10 non-league loss to Boyer Valley (Dunlap, IA). The Rebels record now stands at 5-15.

With the defeat, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn drops to 3-17 on the year. The Hawks host Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union (Marcus, IA) to play the Royals in a War Eagle test on Saturday, July 6. The Royals go into the test with a record of 13-8. Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union won 10-0 in their recent non-league test against Sioux Central (Sioux Rapids, IA)
