The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Waukee Warriors (Waukee, IA) and the visiting Prairie Hawks (Cedar Rapids, IA), observed Waukee's softball team get by Prairie by a tally of 2-1.

The Warriors (16-17) will now prepare for their bout against Lincoln (Des Moines, IA). The Railsplitters go into the non-league bout with a 12-5 record. In their last bout, Lincoln was nipped by Fort Dodge (Fort Dodge, IA), 3-0, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Hawks battle the Cedar Falls Tigers (Cedar Falls, IA) in a Mississippi Valley - Mississippi bout, on Tuesday, July 2. Prairie will attempt to advance on its 10-9 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 13-17 record after their 5-4 league win over Jefferson (Cedar Rapids, IA).
