The Denver Cyclones softball team scored 8 runs and held the host Columbus Sailors to 7 in the Cyclones league win on Wednesday.

The Cyclones now sport a 14-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wapsie Valley for a non-league battle on Wednesday, July 2. Denver will confront a Warriors team coming off a 11-0 non-league win over Clayton-Ridge (Guttenburg, IA). The Warriors record now stands at 23-4.

With the loss, Columbus moves to 10-18 on the season. The Sailors travel to New Hampton (New Hampton, IA) to confront the Chickasaws in a non-league battle on Wednesday, July 2. The Chickasaws come into the battle with a record of 14-11. New Hampton won 8-6 in their recent non-league battle against North Fayette Valley (West Union, IA)
