The Iowa City Little Hawks edged the visiting Dubuque Senior Rams softball squad by a count of 2-1 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Little Hawks meet the Xavier Saints (Cedar Rapids, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, July 3. Iowa City will attempt to upgrade on its 12-11 season record. The Saints enter the challenge with a 31-5 record after their 8-2 league loss to Wahlert (Dubuque, IA).
The Rams (15-20) will now prepare for their challenge against Davenport North (Davenport, IA). The Wildcats enter the non-league challenge with a 18-20 record. In their last challenge, Davenport North edged Clinton (Clinton, IA), 19-0, in a league challenge.
