The Newell-Fonda Mustangs softball team scored 37 runs and held the host South Central Calhoun Titans to 1 in the Mustangs league win on Wednesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 21-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kingsley-Pierson for a non-league battle on Wednesday, July 2. Newell-Fonda will confront a Panthers team coming off a 11-8 league win over River Valley (Correctionville, IA). The Panthers record now stands at 15-7.

With the loss, South Central Calhoun moves to 0-18 on the season. The Titans host Ogden (Ogden, IA) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league battle on Wednesday, July 2. The Bulldogs come into the battle with a record of 17-11. Ogden won 12-2 in their recent league battle against Panorama (Panora, IA)
