The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Indianola Indians (Indianola, IA) and the host Carlisle Wildcats (Carlisle, IA), saw Indianola's baseball team gain a win over Carlisle by a tally of 2-0.

The Indians (28-5) will now prepare for their battle against Lincoln (Des Moines, IA). The Railsplitters enter the non-league battle with a 2-14 record.

Next, the Wildcats face the North Polk Comets (Alleman, IA) in a Raccoon River battle, on Monday, July 7. Carlisle will attempt to upgrade on its 16-10 season record. The Comets enter the battle with a 17-11 record after their 6-1 league win over A-D-M (Adel, IA).
