The Hudson Pirates overwhelmed the visiting Aplington-Parkersburg Falcons softball squad by a count of 7-0 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Pirates meet the Jesup J-Hawks (Jesup, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, July 9. Hudson will attempt to upgrade on its 17-13 season record. The J-Hawks go into the challenge with a 24-10 record after their 16-4 non-league win over Dike-New Hartford (Dike, IA).

The Falcons (3-23) will now prepare for their challenge against Nashua-Plainfield (Nashua, IA). The Huskies go into the non-league challenge with a 4-20 record. In their last challenge, Nashua-Plainfield was routed by Osage (Osage, IA), 18-0, in a league challenge.
