The Newell-Fonda Mustangs baseball team scored 6 runs and held the visiting IKM/Manning Wolves to 5 in the Mustangs non-league win on Saturday.
The Mustangs now own a 10-13 record. They take the field next when they host CAM for a non-league test on Tuesday, July 8. Newell-Fonda will play a Cougars team coming off a 7-0 league win over Ar-We-Va (Westside, IA). The Cougars record now stands at 17-3.
With the defeat, IKM/Manning drops to 7-15 on the year. The Wolves host Ar-We-Va (Westside, IA) to play the Rockets in a non-league test on Monday, July 7. The Rockets go into the test with a record of 5-9. Ar-We-Va lost 7-0 in their recent league test against CAM (Anita, IA)
