West Marshall Trojans (State Center, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs (Monroe, IA), 8-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 14-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Albia for a non-league game on Saturday, July 8. West Marshall will clash with a Blue Demons team coming off a 13-1 non-league win over Roland-Story (Story City, IA). The Blue Demons record now stands at 19-8.
