The Hempstead Mustangs baseball squad (Dubuque, IA), was overwhelmed 7-1 in Monday's non-league contest with the host Xavier Saints (Cedar Rapids, IA)
With the triumph, Xavier moves its record to 16-16 on the season. The Saints host Assumption (Davenport, IA) to confront the Knights in a non-league contest on Tuesday, July 8. The Knights come into the contest with a record of 23-10.
The Mustangs now possess a 16-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dubuque Senior for a non-league contest on Friday, July 11. Hempstead will confront a Rams squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Jefferson (Cedar Rapids, IA). The Rams record now stands at 17-18.
