The Waterloo West Wahawks softball team scored 13 runs and held the host Hempstead Mustangs to 0 in the Wahawks league win on Monday.

The Wahawks now possess a 15-23 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kennedy for a Mississippi Valley - Valley battle on Saturday, July 12.

With the loss, Hempstead moves to 8-10 on the season. The Mustangs host Anamosa (Anamosa, IA) to confront the Raiders in a non-league battle on Tuesday, July 8. The Raiders come into the battle with a record of 10-20.
