The Decorah-North Winneshiek Vikings (Decorah, IA) softball routed the host New Hampton Chickasaws (New Hampton, IA), 11-6 in Monday's non-league outing.

The Vikings now sport a 10-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Charles City for a Northeast Iowa outing on Thursday, July 11. Decorah-North Winneshiek will encounter a Comets team coming off a 9-6 league win over Crestwood (Cresco, IA). The Comets record now stands at 25-5.

With the loss, New Hampton moves to 13-13 on the season. The Chickasaws travel to Clear Lake (Clear Lake, IA) to encounter the Lions in a non-league outing on Tuesday, July 9. The Lions come into the outing with a record of 12-16. Clear Lake lost 9-7 in their recent non-league outing against Central Springs (Manly, IA)
