The West Marshall Trojans overwhelmed the visiting Iowa Falls-Alden Cadets softball squad by a count of 11-6 in Monday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Trojans meet the Van Meter Bulldogs (Van Meter, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, July 8. West Marshall will attempt to upgrade on its 22-8 season record. The Bulldogs go into the challenge with a 37-1 record after their 1-0 non-league win over North Polk (Alleman, IA).

The Cadets (8-16) will now prepare for their challenge against West Marshall (State Center, IA). The Trojans go into the non-league challenge with a 23-8 record. In their last challenge, West Marshall held off South Tama County (Tama, IA), 12-0, in a non-league challenge.
