The North Polk Comets (Alleman, IA) baseball trounced the visiting Ankeny Hawks (Ankeny, IA), 7-1 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.

The Comets now own a 18-11 record. They take the field next when they host Bondurant-Farrar for a Raccoon River challenge on Friday, July 11.

With the defeat, Ankeny drops to 14-22 on the year. The Hawks travel to Johnston (Johnston, IA) to clash with the Dragons in a CIML challenge on Wednesday, July 9. The Dragons go into the challenge with a record of 22-11. Johnston won 6-0 in their recent league challenge against Dowling Catholic (West Des Moines, IA)
