With the triumph, Copiah Academy improves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Colonels travel to Amite School Center (Liberty, MS) to clash with the Rebels in a non-league game on Thursday, August 17. The Rebels come into the game with a record of 1-1.

In their next game, the Cougars clash with the Simpson Academy Cougars (Mendenhall, MS) in a non-league game, on Thursday, August 3. Columbia Academy will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Cougars come into the game with a 4-0 record after their 14-3 non-league win over Sylva Bay Academy (Bay Springs, MS).
