Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Alex Longhorns (Alex, OK) and the host Union City Tigers (Union City, OK), witnessed Alex's softball squad tip Union City by a count of 6-5.

The Longhorns now sport a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Fort Cobb-Broxton for a Class A match on Friday, August 11. Alex will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 3-2 league win over Rush Springs (Rush Springs, OK). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-6.

With the loss, Union City moves to 1-4 on the season. The Tigers host Wayne (Wayne, OK) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Monday, August 14. The Bulldogs go into the match with a record of 1-5. Wayne lost 1-0 in their recent non-league match against Empire (Duncan, OK)
